VII

Sent by God, the archangel Gabriel asked the Virgin Mary to become the Mother of God. Mary accepts the tremendous mission, and the Word becomes incarnate in her womb. Jesus Christ is true God and true man, the promised Messiah, the Divine Master, the eternal Priest (see Lk 1:26–38; 2:1–7; Heb 8:1–13).

I bless you, O Lord, because you have fulfilled the promises you announced to the prophets.
I bless you, Holy Spirit, who descended upon Mary.
I bless you, Divine Son, who became incarnate to establish on the earth the kingdom of truth, of holiness, and of grace.
I adore this mystery of power and love. Behold salvation for all people!
