XXVIII

Heaven is the eternal reward for those who have obeyed. They sought God, and they will possess him forever. They sought spiritual goods, and they will enjoy them for all eternity. Paradise is the vision of God, merited by accomplishing his will; it is the joy of God, merited through love (see Is 65:17–25; Rev 2:7; 22:2–5).

I thank you, O Divine Master, for the hope you have instilled in my soul.
I believe and hope in eternal life.
I contemplate Jesus at the right hand of the Father; the Virgin Mary at the right hand of her Son; a multitude of souls impossible to count.
Grace and cooperation are necessary.
Those who pray are saved; those who do not pray condemn themselves.
