Your priesthood is my security:
I pray and I work in you,
through you, with you.
Everything becomes efficacious and fruitful
because it draws strength from you.
I trust that your priesthood
may communicate to me the spirit
“to serve the living God” (Heb 9:14),
according to the purpose
for which you immolated
and continue to immolate
yourself on the altar:
that I may become
a servant of the Father,
and receive grace for myself
and for the community.
I know that you, High Priest,
understand all the needs
of this poor priest.
After this life may you show me
the joyful reward
for every fatigue and pain.
Amen.
