The Feast of our Founder, Blessed James Alberione, was celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervour in the communiy of Bengaluru on Monday 26 November. The festive Mass was presided over by Rt Rev. Bernard Moras, Archbishop of Bengaluru. Among the concelebrants were Rev. Fr Anthony Swamy, the Archdiocesan Chancellor and Fr Michael Raj, the Provincial Superior.
Prior to the Eucharistic celebration, the Archbishop blessed the newly created centre for Biblical apostolate in the Province, Alberione Good News Centre and Sneha Sandesha Prakashana (Message of love), the office of the Publishing house of Kananda publications. Fr Provincial inaugurated both centres by cutting the ribbon and declaring them open.
After the mass, the first fruit of Alberione Good News Centre, namely, New Testament with Psalms using the text of the New Community Bible, (ST PAULS), India, was released by His Grace the Archbishop. This was followed by the release of a homily book, Horizon Homilies, authored by two Paulines, Fr Joe Narivelil and Fr Philip John Muthukulam, and a set of five Christmas audio CDs and two DVDs, produced by St Paul Audio-Visulas and St Paul Multi Media respectively.
Meanwhile, the Pauline Family gathered in the Alberione Hall at St Paul Media Complex, Bandra, Mumbai, to celebrate the Feast of Blessed James Alberione. The Superior of the Community, Fr Joe Eruppakkatt, presided over the Sacred Liturgy and Fr Johnson Vattakkunnel, the newly appointed Superior of Ibadan (Nigeria) community preached the homily. At the conclusion of the mass a set of Christmas audio CDs produced by St Paul Audio-Visuals were released among which 'Indian Christmas' became an instant hit. Besides, two DVDs produced by St Paul Multi Media, Mumbai, were also released. To crown the entire celebration was a 15-minutes video presentation, Alberione, a Saint for the 21st century, produced by Fr Alexander Anandam, Director of St Paul Multi Media.
